ActALIVE is an acronym for Arts for Creative Transformation: Activism, Lifeline, Inspiration, Vision, Education. It is an international coalition of organizations and individuals who use the arts and media to address HIV/AIDS and other human development challenges. ActALIVE seeks to create a forum for information sharing, collaborations, and advocacy.

Air Traffic Control (ATC) supports musicians and managers who want to be engaged in social change by providing resources needed to develop capacity and coordinate partnerships. Air Traffic Control provides Tools & Research on its web site and produces a monthly newsletter for subscribing musicians, publicists, and managers. ATC also manages an education fund that helps musicians use their talents to effect social change by connecting them to activists, organizations, and issue campaigns.
All Ages Movement Project (AMP) is a network of 200 community-based organizations across the U.S. that connect young people through independent music and art. AMP is committed to making sure young people can access and participate in music scenes in their communities.
Alternate ROOTS is a southern based organization whose mission is to support the creation and presentation of original art, in all its forms. Alternate ROOTS is committed to social and economic justice and the protection of the natural world and addresses these concerns through programs and services. Resources for Social Change (RSC) trains participants on techniques for using art to create social change. RSC components include workshops, mentorships, and peer education.
The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends, the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice. American Friends Service Committee, through its various branches, helps immigrants become more active in democracy.
Animating Democracy is a program of Americans for the Arts that works to inspire, inform, promote and connect arts as a contributor to community, civic, and social change.
Architecture for Humanity seeks architectural solutions to humanitarian crises and brings design services to communities in need. It brings together individuals and firms involved in all facets of building design to provide design services to community groups, non-governmental organizations, funding agents, social entrepreneurs and other non-profit organizations.
Art for Amnesty brings together international artists of all disciplines, their patrons, management, and friends in a collaborative effort to support Amnesty International’s work for human rights. Art for Amnesty achieves this mission by coordinating major fundraising initiatives that benefit both the artist and Amnesty International.
Art for Change (AfC) is a 501(c)3 organization that encourages the advancement of progressive social change by using art as a catalyst for disseminating information to people. AfC provides space to discuss and explore that information, stimulating individual and collective reflection, which leads to action and change.
Art in the Public Interest (API) is a nonprofit organization that supports the belief that the arts are an integral part of a healthy culture, and that community-based arts provide significant value both to communities and artists.
Art Threat is an international media outlet devoted solely to political art and cultural policy. Art that interprets, influences, or reflects upon society is featured in quarterly e-zine articles. The web site is home to discussions of policy as it pertains to culture and showcases artists whose work inspires social change.
Artists Project Earth (APE) aims to create a better world by bringing the power of music and the arts to the 21st century. It supports effective projects and awareness raising initiatives to combat climate change and raise funds for natural disaster relief. The Arts & Democracy Project builds the momentum of a movement that links arts and culture, participatory democracy, and social justice. The Project works to increase civic engagement among people who have been traditionally disenfranchised and to build closer ties between arts and culture and sustained and strategic activism.

Arts Engine, Inc. supports, produces, and distributes independent media of consequence and promotes the use of independent media by advocates, educators, and the general public. Advocates, educators and the public have limited access to media that illustrates a variety of points of view. In order to support the presence of diverse perspectives in our society, Arts Engine is dedicated to forging vital links between media makers and the public, and to realizing independent media’s potential for broad social impact.
Arts for Global Development, Inc.. is an international, educational, volunteer-based initiative with a purpose of furthering interdisciplinary, multisectoral, cross-cultural, and creative approaches to social change. It facilitates the creative sector and stakeholders in development to empower socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and communities worldwide, particularly children, youth, and women.
Axis of Justice links musicians and music fans with local political organizations to effectively organize around issues of peace, human rights, and economic justice. Axis of Justice's web site includes a database of local activist organizations organized by state and nine national organizations. Bands for Lands (BFL) is dedicated to communicating the message and practice of sustainability, conservation, and social awareness issues through music, the creative arts, inspirational speakers and educators. BFL is committed to developing a social networking map to connect organizations, businesses, and artists who are working towards creating a healthy and harmonious planet. Bands for Lands also fulfills its mission through the rental of the Mobile Edutainment Collaboratory, a biodiesel/Straight Vegetable Oil fueled truck converted into a mobile stage.
